About Us
Songbird Stationary was created in March 2009 by Shante' Gorman, a graphic designer and bride to be. She noticed that a lot of the invitations she liked would have cost her hundreds of dollars. They were not as customizable as she would have liked, nor as affordable. Instead, she created her own invitations and realized just how practical and affordable it is! She is determined to create lovely invitations with a 'pop' for contemporary couples on a modest budget.
How do we work?
Simple. Pick a template that you like, e-mail us the bits you'd like to customize- the font, wording, and colors- and then easily print the invitations we send you through an e-mail. It's affordable with a 'pop'!

What is the procedure?
Fill out the form located below this post to order your templates and e-mail it to us at songbirdstationary@yahoo.com. Within two weeks after we receive it, we will e-mail you an estimate and create a rough draft of your design template. At this point, you can choose to either terminate the order or confirm that you'd like to commit to the design. A 50% deposit is required in order for us to continue the edits. We will edit the design until it is exactly the way you want it. The remaining balance is due once the project is finished. After we receive payment, we will e-mail you the file(s). Please note- estimates can/will change if other products are added to the order after the initial estimate is sent. However, we will always inform you of such updates and ask you to confirm them before we take them into account.
How long will it take?
After the initial contact is made, we will e-mail you back within 48 hours that we are working on your rough draft, as well as the estimate. Within two weeks of sending our first response e-mail, we will send you the rough draft. You will have two weeks from the date the rough draft was sent to decide whether you'd like to terminate the order or continue the design. The 50% non-refundable deposit is due at this time. The remaining edits that are to be done can last anywhere from a few days to a few weeks, depending on how many edits are needed.
What size are your templates?
Typically, our templates are 5x7 inches (A7). However, we would gladly create a custom size upon request- with no extra fees. Other popular sizes include: A6 (4.5" x 6.25"), A2 (4.5" x 5.25"), and 4-bar (3.5" x 4.875"). The files we send you will be set on a typical 8.5x11 inch sheet. This can be changes upon request for free.
What all can I change?
You can change the wording of your template, the font (
see our font menu), and the colors of all text and graphics (
see our color menu). You may also moderately change the position of the text and design, such as placing them to the center, top, bottom, or sides.
Can I give you a design or image I want you to use?
Of course! If you have all legal rights to use the image, feel free to send it! No fees will be issued if the image is easily applied to the template. However, if manipulations or significant editing is required- there will be a slight service charge. We will provide an estimate for you once we receive the image.
Will you do a custom design from scratch?
Yes! We love creating new, custom designs for brides- no exceptions! E-mail us with your request and let us know what you're looking for! (Color schemes, wedding themes, etc.)
What kind of payment do you accept?
We accept payments via Paypal.
What is your Refund/Exchange policy?
Once we begin to edit the rough draft (after you send in the 50% deposit), no refunds are offered. If you receive your order and decide that you'd like to change the design- a 40% discount will be given to you for all of the same items you purchased in a different style. This offer is only allowed once within the first 30 days of sending your finished order.
What is a PDF file?
It is a "Portable Document File" that can be read on either PCs or Macs. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader in order to view them. Free downloads are available on their website.
